Studying literature - like stories, poems, graphic novels, films and digital content - helps us connect with different identities, cultures and time periods. In the English degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), you'll harness the power of storytelling and creative expression as you journey through a diverse range of literary works. As a student, you'll build your skills and experience through optional co-op placements, independent research, community projects, campus journals, practicums in creative writing and digital storytelling. You'll graduate as a strong communicator, researcher and critical thinker, ready to succeed in many fields.

•  Grade12 English  or  Grade12 English (ENG4U)  or  Grade12 English (EAE4U) 

Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%, and the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each):

• English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)

Applicants not educated in Ontario must submit evidence of education equivalent to the OSSD with six Grade 12 U or M courses.
